My words are more than poetry- much more than simple rhymes,
they are my chosen therapy- my light through darker times,
they chronicle my history- from noble deeds to crimes,
and help to shape my destiny- if my soul falls or climbs.

Verse #461

The darkness is descending on my torn and broken mind,
The shadows creeping closer as they render my heart blind,
No secrets left to save me from the fate my soul will find,
No way to change this outcome as I leave the world behind.

Verse #460

The day has come and night must go,
our shadows shrinking with the light,
the moment gone before we know,
so much unsaid left in the night.

The Trinity of Me

My logic is a crutch in all the chaos that I see,
A guiding light into the dark that ever follows me,
A secret world far from this life that no one else can find,
My haven in this hell of man kept safely in my mind.

My faith is what defines my life and something none can shake,
A different beast from dogma that no mortal man could make,
A secret force inside of me that shapes the world I see,
My saviour from the past and source of all I've come to be.

My love is something few will see and even less will share,
A gift and curse bestowed on those for whom I truly care,
A secret kept from those that would destroy what lies within,
My heart and soul protected from all but my dearest kin.

Forever and always were never more true,
whenever I think of all that we've been through,
if ever you've doubted this one point of view,
forever and always know that I love you.

The rising sun comes into view,
a chance for life to start anew,
all sins forgiven by the light,
all wrongs forgotten with the night.

I write these simple words to mark the passing of each day,
the pages turning slowly as the hours tick away,
forever searching for the things my soul will let me say,
presented here for each of you in my poetic way.

Blinded as my soul conspires,
waning as my skin perspires,
captive to your dark desires,
weakened by your hell-spawned fires.

beyond each torn and broken part,
you'd find a flame that burns for you,

lost in life's eternal spin,
blinded by each plastic grin,
drowning in their mortal sin.

and though we will one day grow old,

if you knew that tomorrow there would be no birds to sing,

would you still walk towards your fate in spite of everything?

Take me from the cold into the comfort of your love,
let me feel the warmth of all the angels up above,
keep me from the shadows that are eating at my soul,
hold my heart inside of you to give me back control.

Come to me in secrecy when no one else can hear,
comfort me with kindness and eradicate my fear,
complicate my life and everything that I hold dear,
cover me in darkness as the end of life draws near.

If the world should end tomorrow,
though there would be pain and sorrow,
I know we'd still be together,
for our souls are linked forever.

one long road of monotony,
